How can you pick Public Enemy for R&RHOF and not NWA

Back when PE and NWA broke into the industry, both groups changed the world of rap music. Instead of these funky catch rhymes we've heard up to this point, instead PE and NWA were bringing a message from the streets to the public and sometimes the message was something we didn't want to be heard.

Public Enemy was from NYC and are the grandfathers of NYC and east coast rappers. One thing that PE had going for them was the Oscar nominated movie Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" which featured Public Enemy's "Do the Right Thing".

But on the west coast and LA you had NWA. Sure they didn't gain any fans from polices officers with their 'F*** tha Police' song. Sure for those of us living in Suburbia this kind of music shocked us but it was real music about living in the city. NWA was to the west coast just as PE was to East Coast.

To pick one and not the other is a MAJOR fail by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
