(5,352 posts)He plays a character named John Harrison. (I suspect JJ Abrams & Co. may be trying to mislead us. Seriously, 'John Harrison'? What kinda villain name is that?)
Edited to add: I've read speculation that BC will actually be playing silver-eyed telekinetic madman Gary Mitchell, from the classic Trek episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before."

(1,846 posts)They have already done that story in the IDW comic book reboot series (it started out doing several original Trek episode adaptations with the new cast before going on to original stories) and the movie people (one of whom writes the comic) have said that the comics stories are canon...so apparently that theory is a bust. Simon Pegg has said (in colorful metaphors) that Cumberbatch is not Kahn either...so we'll have to wait and see...

(101,352 posts)Did they ever tie up all the time travel in Star Trek Enterprise? Could this be a hint about time? I notice the trailer has him (it is him, isn't it?) saying "I have returned ..."
