2012 apocalypse, LFR adds her two bits.
I remember watching some of the shows on PBS that has talked about the Mayan calender. I remember that they said the truth is that it is a mark of a new start, an awakening, not an end.
Looking around the world via the news makes me wonder if that is not what it is going on right now? Look at the Arab Spring, even what is going on right here in the USA. Maybe it is an apocalypse for the old ways of thinking. Lets face it, most people have grown up being taught to be self sufficient, be an island of one. Well, with so many people in the world we can't live without pulling together. It the old saying of the chain. We truly are as strong as our weakest link. We, as a world, need to come together.
Now I know that many will yell about the antichrist and the new world order. But we can not keep slapping each other around. The people of the world is getting tired of not being able to live in peace. We as a whole are suffering and we as a whole are ticked off.
That is what I think the 'Apocalypse' is, it is the end of the old, defected way we have been. It is just sad how long it has taken us to start waking up.
