14. A rant on the topic of awful racist holiday traditions.

Specifically, I'd like to talk about Zwarte Piet (Black Pete) from Holland. I'm not sure where the idea originated for Zwarte Piet but whomever was responsible should have been flogged. You see, Piet is Sinterklaas' black friend and they travel together...on a boat. From Spain. Piet steers. If you're good, Sinterklaas brings you gifts. But...if you're bad, Sinterklaas waits with the boat while Piet goes inside with his big stick and burlap sack to drag you away to make toys for the good kids, never to see your friends or family again.

Because that wasn't bad enough. They have holiday parades...and people dress up in blackface for these parades as Zwarte Piet.
