I like Jeri Ellsworth. She's dangerous. Here she discusses flip flops, master-slave dynamics, losing your state, race conditions, parasitic capacitance, slow decay, illegal states, high clocks...but I have to warn you, it can be pretty disturbing and is not for everyone. Think of the children.
If you'd rather, she also hacked on old C64 into a bass guitar:
When not otherwise busy, she plays with lava, high voltage, liquid nitrogen, pinball machines, and builds stock cars. She even modified an Easy-Bake Oven to fuse fiber optics.
It's a big world. I hope I'm posting in the right forum.

If you've got some calculus or statistics problem, ask a woman...
My first college major was engineering. I remember one large class that had only two women it it, and one dropped out. This was in the later 'seventies. That's one reason I changed my major to biology. Biology wasn't a boy's club.

Gender aside, people who are so fearlessly curious are far too rare.

An oldschool Geek Girl who can not only rock a bass, but build the damned thing out of an old C64 and some scissored piezos?!?! Wow.
She's also a bit inspiring. I quit hardware hacking over a decade ago to concentrate on software. I should dust off the soldering iron...
