Today is my B-day. I ask all of you for what I need....please.
It's not about me.
I have a beloved friend in rehab now....
My only wish is to hear her voice again.
We are kindred spirits....I love her.
Will you all please keep her in your thoughts and prayers tonight....
She has lost her ability to speak....
L is a young woman who had a cancerous brain tumor removed when she was only three-years-old. She is disabled...but is a happy and beautiful shining star....through many eyes. Tragedy struck once again...she fell ill.....I've only seen her once since her hospitalization....
She is weak...motor skills have failed....
When I walked into her room .... her mother was feeding her.
I tried not to cry.
L was tired...visit was brief...she was not very responsive.
Her mother led her to bed and covered her to her chin...L is always cold.
When I went to her bedside...(she can only use one hand) ...she pulled her hand out from the covers to hold mine.
My birthday wish....to hear my beloved friend's voice again.
I want her to get well....I don't know her prognosis...
Please keep her in your thoughts....she is all I've been thinking of....
I plead for prayers...light and love sent her way....a thought...many healing thoughts...
All that you can muster.
For this, I will give heartfelt thanks.
Sweet dreams my beautiful friend....
My wish today is for you to awaken with your voice....your words...
Your health...
I want you back the way we were.....
And will forever be your friend.

I'm so very sorry I had to leave this thread for a while.
I will get back to each of you tonight.
Thank you for your thoughts and outpouring of love for my friend L.
Today is her BIRTHDAY!
I am on my way out to visit her...
She loves anime....so bought some special gifts for her.
Sadly....there is not much improvement...if any.
Although she is very slowly regaining her strength and mobility...
She can't speak.
Last time I saw her...she smiled and laughed.
Once again....reached out for my hand.
Please keep your thoughts and prayers with her...
I'm trying to keep faith..
She needs all the healing light she can get....
From us all.....
L needs to find her voice again...and I am still praying.
This should never have happened....
That is the most tragic thing of all.
She is still in a rehab facility.
