(11,916 posts)Dealing w/ tree damage, insurance companies, and now a structural engineer. I'm at a loss right now as to where we're even going to wedge a xmas tree in the furniture-crammed living room. We do artificial, and I do have an extra pencil tree that I used when I do craft shows. I'll have to see if I can rearrange some more to make room for that. Our regular one will definitely not fit.
The main concern is that a snow or ice storm could bring down the rest of the roof on that end of the house.
Can't put the white lights up outside that outline the house this year since the insurance policy includes doing the whole roof (so it matches and is all up to the same code). My daughter and I went and bought some red ones to wrap our red maple in. Hope that works with the door decorations. They'll have a spotlight on them.
