Hard to believe they're still filming! This is turning as epic as LOTR. I hope it's as good.

(3,134 posts)He said it was kind of a cluster-fuck. I know it's not going to be much like the book, as it'll focus on the journalist's story more than the individual stories he chronicles after the Great Zombie War like the in the book. I'll keep an open mind though. It still may turn out to be a good flick.

(46,736 posts)I believe that an FXer would have been concerned by the fact that they still didn't have an idea of what the zombies were going to look like well into the planning stage.
Hopefully, all that will be worked out by 2013.

(3,134 posts)I had such high hopes when I first heard about it. If it's a good film I won't care if it's not like the book. I would think the book would have been better served by a mini-series. So many great stories in WWZ.

(46,337 posts)First off, I don't like zombie movies and TV to begin with.
Second, this one has too much CGI in it, lots of bodies pouring over objects and piling up.
So I'll pass completely.

It definitely isn't going to follow the book. I was disappointed at first, but heartened by the trailer because it does seem to ratchet up the suspense now that zombies are moving with military-style force.
I'm going out on a limb, but maybe the trouble they had with the ending was finding a suitable transition for the next movie?
