OK - so I went to my local chain grocery store yesterday

It is a massive store with groceries, clothing and tools.....

and there's a guy with the Salvation Army playing Christmas tunes in the foyer. On a fucking trumpet.

The place was psychotic. I got rammed with a cart by a little old lady and although my hangover was moderate, all I could do was suffer the noise, the aggression and the grim joy of Christmas shopping to get my eggs and wine and pot stickers.


And then as I'm waiting in the checkout lane I realize that there's a dude sitting in front of the 'jewelry section' playing "Brain Damage" by Pink Floyd on an electric piano. The store obviously paid this guy to come in and play some music for the season.

I almost passed out with joy.
