This has GOT to be the creepiest celebrity romance

SHE: Half of one of the most famous celebrity twins in show-business. She's 26 but looks like she's 15
HE: the Half-Brother of the King of France. He's 42 looking like he's turning 50 anyday soon.

It just looks like some creepy old man hitting on his daughter's best friend. I think I saw that movie it was 'American Beauty'

He is 51 and was an actor on Lost and she was actually 16 when they got married.

http://technorati.com/entertainment/celebrity/article/51-year-old-lost-star-doug1/

This week "country" singer Courtney Stodden married actor Doug Hutchison in Las Vegas. The happy couple signed their marriage certificate with the ages of 16 and 51 respectively. Hutchison played Dharma flunky Horace Goodspeed on Lost and Eugene Victor Tooms, the liver-eating guy from The X-files. Stodden was a contestant in the Miss Teen Washington USA pageant and was also signed to Hutchison’s production company called Dark Water. One has to wonder what age group she was assigned to or was she merely there for summer camp.

51-16 is such an epic mismatch--nevermind that any 16-year-old with any adult is essentially child molestation in my view. 42-26 is almost 20 years closer in age and of course a 26-year-old is a woman who can make her own choices.

All that said, the first picture looks much more like the pedophile/creepy uncle image than the second where he looks younger and she looks older than their real ages.

The girl--and I do mean "girl"--got them thrown out of the reality TV dwelling because the others couldn't deal with the fact that she didn't wear clothes. Seldom in anything larger than a bikini. Her personality is a mess, like a highly sexualized adolescent with a taste for power's would be ("You can't make me wear clothes. I stand up for all my fans who won't be bullied. They see me as a role model, heeheeheepoutyface.&quot I feel sorry for the child, but she needs to get rid of the man and grow up.

He's just pathetic. Glommed on and babytalking. Combining their names to "Dourtney".

Tue Nov 20, 2012, 07:40 PM

21 years, as I'm sure you are more aware than me, is significant, but relative age is the real issue. Being 20+ years older than your girlfriend when you're in your 30s should send you to jail. Any relationship between adults is exactly that, between them. However, if they are celebrities and she looks like a child and he looks like an old man, people are going to make wisecracks. There doesn't have to be an age difference really...if any celebrity couple seems mismatched (Julia Roberts-Lyle Lovett; Ted Danson-Whoopi; Seal-Heidi Klum) people will be all over it. Doesn't mean there is anything inherently wrong with the relationship.

Unless you started dating when you were 30.

I'll never try to get in between an older person and his/her adult significant other. I don't begrudge you that one bit.

but a 16 year old should be dating goofy high-schoolers. Not weird old men. On the other hand, he'll likely be dead 15~20 years and she'll still be young enough to date a normal person.

I think I am being overly judgmental but there it is.

... with EIGHT children, two of them older than he was. Four of them -- ranging in
age from 11-18, still lived with this couple.
.
They had been married for 2 years when I met them and they were one of the most
loving compatible couples I've ever known. She was not a cougar in any way, but a
plump, fairly unremarkable-looking German woman who was vivacious, fascinating
and a sweetheart. He didn't seem to have an Oedipus complex -- he seemed an
equal partner rather than a "son".
.
My ex (we were married when I knew this couple and the four of us played a LOT of
cards together) was two weeks younger than I. Most of my serious relationships were
with women my age -- with a few up to 15 years older.

When I was in college, I was around 30 (a late bloomer) and my best friend was one
of my English professors (edit to add: who was in her 60's). We had a fantastic VERY
close platonic relationship for about 2 years or more when I realized that I was
becoming attracted to her and saw in her a physical attractiveness that I hadn't seen
before.
.
I'm pretty sure it was reciprocal and the difference in our ages weren't the least bit of
a factor, but I think it was one of those situations where neither of us wanted to risk
our rich friendship if we had been reading this wrong. So, though the sexual energy
was at times almost palpable to the point of awkwardness, we never acted on it.
.
Dumbhead, MiddleFingerMom. Dumb ol' head.
.
.
.
There are actually TWO women in my life (the other was my age and we had a
committed relationship for 5 years) who I consider "the one that got away".
.
.
.
If anyone had thought this was creepy, I would have simply known that they were
literally clueless. It happens... and sometimes without troubling psychological "issues".

to the king of France.

The Olsen twins were on Full House which they spun off into a series of tween movies and then a fashion empire. The twins are legitimately, through a lot of hard work (and perhaps some parental manipulation) serious business figures in the fashion industry. I've heard rumours that they are worth somewhere over $300 million.

I have no idea who the King of France is but that's whats in the OP (did you read the OP?)

Honestly, I don't think it matters once you get into your mid 20s. You are fully an adult by then.

Which one of the Olsen twins is this? I believe one of them is fairly troubled - has been in rehab and has an eating disorder (?). If this is THAT twin then maybe a case could be made that she's flirting with a father figure but otherwise, I think a 15/16 yr age difference isn't that much of a problem when you're already well into the second half of your 20s.

I disagreed. That's it.

There are plenty of couples, both celebrity and not, who have that kind of age span (or greater), and they get public acceptance - not the kind of insinuations that the OP is making.

Frankly, if my 26 yr old daughter finds love and happiness with a 42 yr old guy, I would never call it creepy. I'd raise a toast to love and happily ever after. She's a grown woman with plenty of life experience already. Not a child - not even close. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are hardly naifs in the ways of the world....

I couldn't care less if the two people differ by decades, as long as they're both consenting, happy and of legal age.

I only mentioned Dennis because it seemed relevant to the thread. Also, when he was campaigning for Pres, I pointed out that a Republican with a decades-younger wife would be excoriated, but no one seemed to mind Kooch robbing the cradle.

Curious...
