Something profound happened today in Music...

For the first time since 1967, Led Zeppelin released an album (whether original, live or best of) where it wasn't all original members playing on it.

Not talking about times Led Zeppelin members sang LZ songs but under their own name or with other bands.

Today was the release of 'Celebration Day' which is a performance of the 02 show back in 2007. It's the first time that John Bonham's name was not listed as drummer. Although to be fair it was his son Jason Bonham.

How many bands can claim that for their entire career as that name they had the same members.

Correct on Neil. Fly by Night was Neils first album taking over for John Rutsey, their original drummer who has since passed away from complications due to diabetes. There would be no Rush today had Neil not joined the band. As Geddy states in the documentary "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage", you can't replace any one member in the band.
