Awww...This Grandma And Her Cat Are The Cutest Best Friends

Meet Misa and Fukumaru.

Thirteen years ago, photographer Miyoko Ihara began snapping pictures of the budding relationship between her now 88-year-old grandmother, Misa, and her odd-eyed kitten, Fukumaru. Since Misa found the cat abandoned in a shed, the pair have barely ever been apart. Their beautiful friendship is documented in a photo book, Misao the Big Mama and Fukumaru the Cat.

I've raised probably 30 cats over the years (currently have 4 along with three dogs) and I lost my all-time favorite this past June to cancer after a 20 month fight. I still cry to this day over him. There was just something special, different about him and the bond we had. I can see from these photos that this lady and her cat have a similar kind of bond. Pictures are indeed worth a thousand words.
