Lost another 5 pounds this week. I recommend that anyone

trying to lose weight go on my herbal tea diet. You buy a cupboard full of herbal tea and keep your palate and your excitement/satisfaction levels high by drinking a variety of flavours. I have my favourites but always buy something new each week so I can suss out the best stuff. And best of all it is not very expensive as dependencies go.

10 pounds. Since I am an emotional eater...I often feel like celebrating life later on in the evening, and I am a former smoker and an alcoholic so my brain is trained to look for small quick rewards, I find that the herbal tea taste festival works for me. It is a non-physical addiction with taste rewards. I don't know if it is activating my dopamine but I think so. I anticipate a new flavour every hour or so. I'm loving Yogi brand teas. And Celestial Seasonings. And mixing some teas together. There are high and low notes in many teas. And learning what flavours really translate well into tea (licorice, fruit, ginger, spices, lemon) and what flavours don't work in herbal tea (vanilla, chocolate). Plus there is the whole ritual of going to the healthfood store with that whole wall of herbal teas and gathering new supply. I have a very few teas that have caffeine in them but most of them do not. So it isn't a caffeine addiction I am fulfilling. I most often use stevia to sweeten. Don't know if that is addicting but it has been used in Japan as a sweetener for a generation to no ill effect.

peeing an awful lot. I think I might get annoyed by that as I get annoyed as it is when I have to interrupt whatever I'm doing and will put it off as long as I can (which isn't good).

Despite several attempts, I simply can't acquire the taste.

Props to those for whom the method works, though!
