Would you urinate in a jar to save $5.00 per month?

I got sick of the pundits on TV tonight and I flipped the channel over to TLC. There was a preview for a show called Extreme Cheapskates. A lady on one of the episodes asked her boyfriend to pee in a jar so that she could save $5.00 a month. Another episode shows a lady that doesn't use toilet paper and serves her guests food from the garbage can. Neither one of these ladies were broke but they still went through extreme measures to save a buck.

Do you think that Extreme Cheapskates is a real show?

I don't know what it make of it.

I believe in saving money but these people go to far.

The toilet paper woman was to much for me.

I wouldn't go to her place.

There is cheap and then there is cheap.

I have to DVR that show and watch it a little of it at a time.

The peeing in the jar was so nasty - especially when she put the jar on the kitchen table

She had projected her savings to age 116 - I would rather die early and flush than live long and pee in a jar.

She has lots of TP.

I like the show.

Don't know if I would like a train track running in my yard.

Have you seen the episode where Alana is selling lemonade in her front yard? It shows a very busy road in front of their house. I wouldn't want a train tracks in the back of my house either. There are also telephone wires over the house but it looks like a clean home.

The house looks clean.

The family seems to love each other, seems to be happy.

Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe being on this show they can move to another house.

it sounds like they'd be good candidates for a composting toilet if the issue is saving money on flushing. I've used them before at Dancing Rabbit, and they were fine. If that were the norm here, people would take it for granted and it would be a lot better for the environment.

It's strange that is takes so many producers to make a reality show, IMDB shows that one as having a dozen, some of those 'reality' shows even list writers. Hmmmmmm
