For my sons upcoming birthday I ordered him a beard beanie with Viking horns from Etsy. I received it with the wrong color of beard. Id ordered it with a carrot-colored beard, as shown in the photo below, but I got light brown. The seller has offered to send me the carrot color and let me keep the light brown.
Should I send the light brown one back to the seller anyway? I like both colors, but I dont want to be thought of as a thief of sorts.
What should I do? What would you do? I want to do whats appropriate.

(17,742 posts)It wasn't your error, and the seller probably wouldn't want to resell an item that somebody had already received. Don't worry about it.
PS: Also, give the seller good feedback, explaining how he righted the error.

(12,710 posts)The seller made a mistake and is willing to correct it. Offer to pay for the brown one if you want to keep it.

(14,400 posts)the seller probably won't resell anything sent back. If you like the brown one enough you could just tell the seller not to bother replacing the wrong one.
If you want the orange one go ahead and get it.
