Today's College Football Thread (10/27)

Today should be a great day for college football. There are four games today between ranked teams:

#14 Texas Tech at #3 Kansas State
#2 Florida vs. #10 Georgia (in Jacksonville, FL)
#5 Notre Dame at #8 Oklahoma
#11 Mississippi State at #1 Alabama

I’m most looking forward to the OU-Notre Dame game. I wish I could be in Norman for that one—should be fun.

So who does your team play? What games are you looking forward to?

I live just across the river from the stadium and cant wait to hear it rocking and rolling this afternoon. I will be watching from my recliner however.

Just got the touchdown, too, so who knows?

Is this going to be Dooley's last season if they can't turn things around? I guess even if they don't win today, they should have a chance to win all their next four ...

I hate to root for the gators but I want them as highly ranked as possible when FSU meets and beats them at the end of the season.

They'd've won handily if they'd taken care of the ball in Kansas territory, but as it was it looked pretty ugly. Still, as someone who has made the trip up to Lawrence only to see his team lose (in horrible and embarrassing fashion), at least it's a win. Next four games will be tough, though. Especially the road games.

After an offense explosion in the 1st quarter, it's been a strong defensive performance by both teams in the second quarter. UCLA took the lead following an interception at Arizona State's 5 w/ about a minute left in the first half.

I fell asleep. Not because of the game itself, I just didn't get a good enough night's sleep last night. Then I got distracted by a couple of other games, but I'm going to try to follow the rest of this game now. I hope ASU can come back. I thought they would win this game, but I guess both teams are still a little hard for me to figure out this year.

Tough ending, Jon. They gave up a bit too much real estate on those last couple of plays -- turned a long field goal into a short one.

because I was out-and-about which is probably a good thing.

Tough to say, but Arizona winning helped out Arizona State a lot today. It keeps them in the race for the division crown.

The loss to UCLA bumped Arizona State from the #1 spot in opponent yards per pass attempt down to #4
