We went to the buffet at the Parump Nugget last night ( ! ) and I told her that I invited you to her house for Thanksgiving.
She said "Make sure he knows it's a serious invitation."
I am living in the house next to hers and there is a spare room you can stay in.
So if you want a full-blown Thanksgiving dinner with a shitload of people in a town filled with more character than you can shake a stick at, R.S.V.P.
The only part of this that's on you is figuring out your transportation. And if that's an issue I'll bet that there are a more than a few DUers who are willing to help.

I won't be able to make it, but the idea of sitting down in the midst of family dynamics (both
good AND bad) warms that fore-mentioned heart. It's been a while.
.
PLEASE thank your sister for me -- making that offer to a complete stranger shows a kindness
that we all wish the world had more of.
.
Though it might have been even MORE impressive if she knew what I'm like and STILL made
the offer.
.
.
So many people on this site have shown me love and warmth and basic human kindness and
definitely rekindled and reinforced my perspective of the Good that people are naturally capable
of, yet in other places are often so lacking in.
.
Your kind and tempting offer has made me stronger, my friend.

.
Besides, you'd think a visit to a town called "Pahrump" would definitely be on MiddleFingerMom's
Bucket List, wouldn't you.
.
And I checked out the Pahrump Nugget -- I'd have to stay an extra day or two in order to have
room for their seafood buffet.
.
And even the Fucking Immortal are not immune to Spontaneous Human Digestive Explosion.
.
.
.
Again, thank you and your sister.

(30,885 posts)...I was stuck in line at the bank yesterday with one of the local characters (well known, frequently avoided by those who know him) who told me that if you go outside when the wind is blowing, you get radioactive dust in your eyes and get eyeball cancer.
