Nature put on a show.
And the most important pic of all: the lake, the woods, the porch, the dock, friends, Jameson, and a High Life.

Fall is my favorite season.
Here, west of Sacramento, we're getting our first rain since the beginning of May.

Thanks for the pictures. I lived there for ten years and haven't been back since we moved to PA in '98 or so. Where were they taken? Most of the non-WalMart parts of NH look like that right now.

beautiful scenery and some unusual angles and hardly any people mucking up the view.
My wife gets mad at me for taking a hundred pics and maybe 3 of 'em have any of us in them. lol
thanks for sharing!

I was hoping to get back there this month but every time I set aside some money, *poof* something else goes wrong and demands that cash.

(34,183 posts)20. At the university of NH we had a tradition at the Ginko tree when it shed its leaves
The Ginko tree loses its leaves all at once as if there is a command for all to jump ship simultaneously.
As graduate students we would watch the Ginko and when it would start to lose its leaves we would run outside to catch one.
If you caught a free falling Ginko leaf, you were assured of passing all your classes, successful research with small p values and large effect sizes, and general good luck for the year.
