The coolest find in my research was a picture from Time or Newsweek in the early 60's
with a supremely happy-looking Cary Grant with an acid-dosed sugar cube on his
protruding tongue (it was before it was illegal and when some psychiatrists thought it
would be very helpful in some treatments).
.
What made it even cooler was the fact that at about the same time, I had my picture
used in our local newspaper, looking supremely happy with a sugar cube on my protruding
tongue -- except mine was dosed with polio vaccine.
