she finally got up and had a potty break then came back to lay down in another room. They've moved the camera, but I don't think it's work right now. She's do tomorrow.

I just assumed dogs just sort of plopped 'em out one right after the other.

Thanks for the info.

I never knew this until just before I got my latest dog last year. I was hopeful for getting a pup from the litter that the breeder was waiting on, but it turned out that it was up in the air if there would be enough for one for me. Long story short, he offered me what was supposed to be one of his own pups that once the litter was born he just didn't feel he had enough time for who was already four months old, and I fell in love with him and just knew he was the one for me, so it all worked out.

Anywho, I had always imagined they just came out one right after the other, but it can be quite a long time between births... he sent me an email as each one was born noting the sex and the time of birth. I remember there was only a few minutes between two of the pups and there was a good two and a half hour delay until the last one was born. He ended up having quite a long night especially since the mommy didn't start going into labor until pretty late at night. It also made the dates of birth different since the first three were born before midnight (the third just a hair before midnight) but the last two were born after midnight.

It was so exciting. I would have loved to have seen it live on film or actually be there to see it happen. Just the other day I was looking at some photos of a couple of them now that they're a little over a year old, and it's so hard to imagine those bitty little squirmy pups are the great big beasties they are today.

I don't know. I saw baby # 2 born and someone held up a sign stating the baby #2 was a girl.

They're are concerned.

THERE ARE 8 PUPPIES TOTAL, 7 LIVING. 5 GIRLS, 3 BOYS. THERE WAS NO U/S DONE TO KNOW HOW MANY TO EXPECT SO SHE MAY NOT BE DONE. SHE IS MISSING 3 PLACENTAS AND THAT IS DANGEROUS TO HER HEALTH. THEY CANT LEAVE HER ALONE. THEY CALLED THE VET FOR A PITOCIN SHOT. -- They called the vet about 8am EST. THERE WAS NO WORD ON WHEN.

wondering if the camera was brought inside to show the new pups, but it is outside showing Sandy starting to blow the trees quite a bit. I went to do a few things in the kitchen, now puppy-cam is off.
I hope the people and dogs there are all okay when the storm gets closer!
