Today's College Football Thread (Red River Rivalry Edition)

Today’s College Football Thread (Red River Rivalry Edition)

Four games between ranked teams today:

Morning
#13 Oklahoma vs. #15 Texas

Afternoon
#17 Stanford at #7 Notre Dame

Night
#3 South Carolina at #9 LSU
#22 Texas A&M at #23 Louisiana Tech

The highlight (for me) is the game between Oklahoma and Texas. Both teams have a loss this year, so the game isn’t quite the blockbuster that it sometimes can be. But the Cotton Bowl and the State Fair will still be packed. Definitely one of the great traditions and experiences in college football.

So who does your team play? What games are you looking forward to?

We're clicking on both sides of the ball. And Texas has definitely missed some tackles.

My Sun Devils already kicked butt, so I'm just looking forward to hanging out with Andre Reed tomorrow at the Cards'/Bills' game! Cannot wait!!

And then my Devils have the Ducks next week. Oh freaking my!

on edit: Is that Doug Flutie I see? What else could I ask for?

Love it when the Horns get smacked! I must say this is a bit of a surprise....but they are totally over-rated this year.

... it was getting tedious. the Sooners were just walking all over the Horns' non-defense. Its gonna be a blowout.

By halftime, i was so disgusted by our lack of defense that i just turned it over to AMC to watch the "Walking Dead" marathon...

Figured if i was going to watch a bunch of zombies milling around aimlessly on TV, i'd rather it not be the ones wearing 'Old Gold and Blue'.
*sigh*

They were awesome and taught us Mountaineers a lesson. I am licking my wounds bigtime but Tech is a real class act.

I don't mean surprised at their success, they earned it. Surprised that the pollsters put them up there so soon.

I think where I am coming from is Arizona State isn't even ranked yet. They haven't defeated the same level of competition and have 1 loss but they are playing well on both sides, especially on defense. This defense is far better than the 2009 version. They also have an excellent power rating -- http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt12.htm

On edit - USA Today poll has Oregon State at more of what I expect of a non-traditional power at this point - 14. Not what I think they should be ranked 14.

Hey,
Glad to see Boomer Sooners kick some major butt. Notre Dame pulls another one out of their ass, boooooo.

Peace
