It's the first media thing I ever instantly recognized to be a 'sensation.'

Why didn't Jane Curtain, Garrett Morris, and Loraine Newman become as famous as the rest of them? Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, and John Belushi all went on to do movies (and Aykroyd has his own line of vodka now). I've never figured that out.

get some money from the dvds sold. I have heard that the women were not treated well early on in SNL.

He's got that "I'm too old but I'm trying really hard to be hip" hair and suit. The rest could be hanging out now.

I miss John and Gilda. And I thing Garrett Morris was incredibly underrated. He was so warm and "normal" seeming that whenever he did something absurd it made a big impression on me.

And I have an irrational love for Dan Aykroyd. Probably a blues thing.

Asking the interviewee how one gets the blues? I never realized how good he was at that impression!
