Still, I'm a huge West Wing fan. I watch the first four seasons all the way through 2-3 times a year.

(6,581 posts)That show got me through the worst of the Bush II years. I think my favorite episode is the one where Mrs. Laningham dies, and there is that great ending scene with Bartlett all alone in the National Cathedral, drenched from rain, arguing with God about how unfair it was, and he makes the decision to run for a second term despite the multiple sclerosis scandal with himself and Abby.

(130,908 posts)and he returned to WH, to Press Briefing Room, asked whether he'd run, and 'answered' by putting hands in pockets and looking 'up?' in gesture Mrs. Landringham had identified as his 'decision' gesture. MAY be end of season episode, so 'answer' not verbally enunciated until first episode of next season.

(28,941 posts)Little things like Bartlett refusing the raincoat Charlie offered, Charlie then took off his and the camera panned to Mrs Laningham's desk. And Brothers in Arms as the staff walked through the west wing.
