But I want mine from an animal of some sort LOL. If not a cow, then at least a goat or a sheep - not a nut

... as some of the roads around these parts are named after my dairy farmer ancestors...

There are a few good dairy operations where cows are treated humanely (even though they end up as cheap ground beef) but there are too many "factory farms" where both the cows and the workers who take care of them suffer great abuse.

I like cheese. Occasionally I eat beef. I'd rather have it from sources other than abusive factory farms.

Liquid milk shouldn't even be on the menu of any basic diet. It ought to be a specialty food like goat cheese or a Christmas goose, from animals who are appreciated and well cared for.

along with laying hens and you can actually see the animals you get the beverage or the eggs from.

I can't help it - I love dairy. And goat cheese isn't a specialty, it's a delicious and delightful addition

She's in college now for her Bachelor's degree. Her 4-H projects were dairy goats.

Cheese!!!

I love cheese.

Cow's cream for butter and whipped cream, since it separates more easily. I don't eat butter, though, so just for whipped cream, which I don't use very often, so it doesn't matter if it does a body good. Also for some cheeses.

Goat's milk, raw and milked that day, for drinking, although I don't really drink milk any more. Still, if someone baked cookies, goat's milk is good. It's also good when weaning babies off the breast, although it's been 3+ decades since I had to do that. Goat cheeses are good, too.

Coconut milk, unsweetened, for everything else. I don't know if I can make ice cream from coconut milk; I've been wanting to try. Coconut cream for coffee, but I don't drink coffee regularly.

Unsweetened chocolate almond milk, for when I want hot chocolate, because I can't find coconut milk in unsweetened chocolate, and I don't do sugar, and trying to get unsweetened chocolate powder to dissolve is a pain.

Milk makes other things that I like, some good, some not: yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese....

If coconut or almond milk can do as good a job, that's my first choice. If not, cow's and goat's milk are fine, since I don't consume large amounts.
