So what is the deal with showing up 30 minutes early for an ECG?

I have an appointment tomorrow to have my 1 year post-MI echocardiogram and the appointment says to show up 30 minutes early.

Since this is same doc and lab I have been with all along, what exactly is the point of being extra early? Does it take 30 minutes to strip to the waist?

My best guess is that they don't want people all stressed-out from RUSHING in at the last-minute... MiddleFingerMom Oct 2012 #1

When I drove, dealing with traffic and being late used to affect my BP readings, let alone an EKG.

They could also do a cucumber facial spa treatment.

it take a while for the drug to hit. The effect feels sort of like a large dose of niacin.
