The other night I watched three good Zombie movies;
1. The Dead
2. Extinction The-G-M-O-Chronicles
3. Exit Humanity
I love the Resident Evil series..
Have seen Night of the Living Dead (classic) and Day of the Dead..
And have up next; Quarantine-2-Terminal, EarthKiller, and Zombie-Apocalypse on my list to watch.
Can you guys name other great Zombie-End-of-The-World-Movies that you enjoyed?

(21,925 posts)but I haven't seen it in decades. I think this may be one of the earliest zombie apocalypse movies, coming several years before the George Romero film. Before that, zombies were not the living dead who ate flesh but were people under a voodoo spell who would do the bidding of spell maker like in the 1943 classic I Walked With A Zombie. By the way, I think the full movie is available on Youtube, cut into 8 parts.

(6,907 posts)dawn of the dead
think of this
you watched original night of living dead
watch original dawn of dead
original day of dead
then return of livimg dead but know it is a joke and not realy part of that series, just for fun
maybe return living dead 2 is you can stand hokiness, but not much further down that track
land of the dead
diary of the dead
survival of the dead
then the remakes of dawn and day
then shaun of the dead and zombieland for laughs
that would get you through the romero and split offs
some folks love raimi's evil dead movies, not my favs though
We should make a list... So many good ones!

(5,128 posts)But re: Romero...
I particularly liked the Dawn of the Dead because of the mall setting, where I saw the movie for first time.
The remake was worth it, too! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0363547/

I'm not a fan at all of zombie movies ("Shaun of the Dead" was OK), but I think "The Walking
Dead" is among the BEST TV series in quite a while.

(17,621 posts)I liked the gritty cynicism of the "Mad Max" movies, even though they weren't zombie movies.

(38,187 posts)On October 14th at 9 pm on AMC, The Walking Dead comes back on for its 3rd season. If you can get the first 2 seasons, enjoy! But, don't blame me when you get addicted to it. You did ask.
I am absolutely addicted to that show.

(5,604 posts)I've probably seen dozens of off beat, low budget, foreign and obscure ones. Here's a few not so mainstream ones that might be worth looking into. (Trailers below are marginally NSFW)
Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man)
(Italian, though dialog is in proper English)
Nightmare City Trailer
(another Italian cheapo)
kyonyu-dragon (Big Tit Zombie)
(Japanese, English sub-titles)

In the world of zombie movies, there are the good, the bad and the really, really weird. More than 600 zombie movies exist, and anyone that's seen even a small portion of them can tell you that most of those are among the really fucking bad. Maybe one in ten are actually reasonably good. To get to that last category, you'll need to dig past the dross that ends up on Netflix Instant Watch and the shelves of the last three Blockbusters on the planet. Do that and you'll discover that about one in fifty is unbelievably fucking nuts; not just garden variety goofy, but mind-staggeringly bizarre. To save you the trouble of sitting through a few hundred terrible films to find this lunatic fringe, we proudly present this list of the most egregiously fucked up entries in zombie filmdom.

#9 is "Attack Girls Swim Team Vs. the Undead", which sounds like RiffTrax fodder...
