Today's College Football Thread (9/29)

Not a lot of big games this week. The only games between ranked teams are #25 Baylor at #9 West Virginia and #14 Ohio State at #20 Michigan State. A few other games might be interesting, like Wisconsin at #22 Nebraska and #18 Oregon State at Arizona.

Oklahoma has a bye this week after last week's disaster against Kansas State, and the Fighting Illini are, as I type this, getting blown out by Penn State.

So who does your team play this week? What games are you looking forward to?

Should be good, osu likes to score big, our defense better have tightened up. Totally winnable for us, we'll see.

BU @ WVU...if our defense gets it together (we'll see tonight), we can beat these teams. Their secondaries are a JOKE total score currently 112 with the fourth just starting! With our stable of backs, we should be able to grind them down and keep these hotshot offenses off the field.

Is this the highest scoring Big 12 game ever? I can't think of a bigger score off the top of my head. I only remember two teams scoring in the 70s in a Big 12 game (Oklahoma against A&M in '03 and Nebraska against Oklahoma in '96), and in neither case did the losing team approach 56 points.

"Their secondaries are a JOKE"

Hard to argue with that. 1200 yards passing between these two teams. And Geno Smith is 43-49.

you score 70 points, pass for over 600 yards...and win by only a touchdown?

your team might actually have a big problem

And poor Baylor -- scores 63, passes for 581, and loses by a touchdown.

Unfortunately, my Ducks are once again playing at the same time as the Portland Timbers. And unfortunately, I have to defer the TV to the Timbers game because the Timbers fan in my house is bigger than I am. They start at the same time. Maybe I'll be able to catch the last hour of Ducks.

Hi,
That was a nail biter after all the turnovers, but my Huskers held on and came back. I did like their uniforms too, hehe.

Peace and GBR!

USF kept it a lot closer than it should have been - they played hard.

Final score was 30-17 but it was a much closer game than that looks.
