In the 'Murder by Numbers' movie she played a hard bitten detective who's ex-husband had stabbed her in the chest multiple times and had left her for dead in a field, causing her to become bitterly cynical and broken.

In '26 days' she plays an alcoholic forced to go through rehab by the court who really struggles with the things she did while drunk, including putting her niece in harms way just so she could get drunk.

Watch the this trailer from the movie 'Premonition'.

For years she's tried to stop doing the comedy love movies. She's coming into her own.

It just is hard to see her in them. Except for a Time to Kill. Actually, she was quite brilliant with that one.
