It's a live stream of a cat shelter in Ohio, and at night they are loose and unsupervised. Right now there's some sort of cat riot going on, or a rave, and it's a blast to watch.

I lost NoName about 3 years ago. I've had and lost cats most of my adult life ... and the losses
have been sad... but this one was devastating. The first cat I got on purpose (the others were
all strays taken in or catsittees whose owners never came back) and, though I've had sweet
affectionate cats before, none could match her. She had been brought to the shelter after not
being able to get along with a couple's child, though in all other was they thought she was
exceptional.

I can only imagine the torments that child must have heaped upon her. Even when I stepped on
her once, she never reacted badly... and she never played "too rough" with me.
.
Her loss devastated me. I had to take two days off from work because I was almost literally
crying nonstop (and I'm not THAT much of a cryer). It was over a year before I could even
THINK about another cat (then I started leaving food and water outside for our wanderers --
I'm not sure if ANY of them are feral -- I suspect they're all just opportunists... they look
pretty well-fed and healthy).

For health and financial reasons, I haven't been able to get another cat. This is in the process
of changing. I'm going to move (no pets lease) and start looking at shelters again.

I'd love to get another tuxedo cat. NoName and I would go for long walks together all the
time (with a 15-foot leash) and I hear from many that that particular breed is pretty
comfortable with going for walks.

In the meantime, kitty-cams help fill the void.

It's funny kitties what do to me. I just see one and I'm flooded with feelings of warmth and well-being. The best drug around!

Edited to say: Oh dear gawd, I just spotted a little orange kitten walking around with his tail flippin' and floppin' around in the air. MELT.

22. It would be funny if the camera had a sound effect box next to it

An occasional squeak or chirp would make the cats look at the camera. Also an automatic intermittent ping-pong ball tosser would be fun for the cats and the viewers.
I love watching kittens chase a ping-pong ball. The sound seems to stimulate them.
