My Best Buddy Dakota
is five today. He is the sixth German Shepherd I have had over my life so far. He will also most likely be my last, as I am hoping he has several good years left to come. By then I will probably be to old to handle a large dog and it wouldn't be fair to them. Although a senior Shepherd is a possibility.
Dakota provides companionship, love, a sense of security, and most of all laughter. He can be the biggest goofball sometimes. He deserves all the happiness I can give him in return.
I am so lucky my late Dad gifted my sister and I our first Shepherd when I was 5, and shared his love and respect for the breed with me. They have most likely saved my life on more than one occasion.
So Happy Birthday baby boy! I love you! ❤️
