from Nat Geo - Secrets of the Octopus.

And of course there is "My Octopus Teacher', a fascinating film that won the award for Best Documentary Feature at the 93rd Academy Awards in 2021.

Amazing creatures!

Congrats!

Remember what Khalil Gibran said about children: "Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. . ."

And so on.

Like I said, you've raised her right!

How very well put. And we learned early that they were our progeny, but not our property. I think that's one of the secrets to raising children, and it is anything BUT an exact science. I think we did alright, but that only means we got lucky more than "we wrote the book." We know well-meaning parents who fared far worse than we did, and we are as clueless as they are as to why.

When she was two years old, a friend of ours nicknamed her "Madame 10,000 volts." She hasn't lost much of her charge since then, either. She thinks nothing of running down to Zanzibar for a long weekend to see friends she hasn't seen in a while. I'm used to travel, but that's out of my league.
