Im not sure how I feel about this one.
The action scenes look great.

(5,641 posts)for more Star Wars...even though most hard core fans trash a lot of the canon since Disney and even before, I am all in.
Star Trek too...
There is no wrong universe in my sci worlds...LOL

(4,608 posts)I'm always down for more Star Wars, too, but have never been a Trek fan.
This trailer wasn't what I was expecting from the show. It looks very martial arts based, which is cool. Just wasn't expecting it so unsure how I feel right now lol. Carrie Ann Moss looks fantastic.

(4,608 posts)My aversion to it was trauma from a sci fi movie I saw on Saturday afternoon tv when I was very young, lol. I was opposed to all things sci fi for a long time after that.
Recently googled what I could remember of the movie and found out the name: Saturn 3. I only remember a few details and have a feeling it was a terrible movie. Might look it up tonight and find out, and also to see if it really was scary or I was just really young.
For some reason, Star Trek reminded me of that movie so I never really watched the show with Mom. I should probably give it a fresh try.

(5,641 posts)So yes, not only was it a poorly acted movie it was a scary, violent, misogynistic movie that you would be better off avoiding.
Star Trek was all about challenging social norms of the time, so it fit with me perfectly.
There is even an episode where they get high-jacked by a wandering band of space hippies looking for paradise.

Starts in June
Disney+ is worth it for a couple months just to watch the Star Wars content. There are several outstanding tv series. (especially Andor).
