Fuck.
Got out of that one. It sucks leaving a good friend on her birthday but fuck if I'm going to sit there watching my EX cuddle with her new BF.
FUCK. What an awful fucking night this turned into.

(13,447 posts)I knew that she was dating again, in fact I had actually gone to trivia with them a couple times, but this was the first time I saw them where they were actually both into each other if you know what I mean. I guess there was still a part of me that was hoping it wasn't serious and wouldn't last. Now I know.

(27,247 posts)Shortly after my ex-girlfriend kicked me out of her life, my mom and I went to see a high school play that was open to the public. And there she was, cuddling with some guy a few rows in front of me. At intermission, I started talking to her in the lobby. Somehow the conversation became confrontational, and suddenly she yelled, "What kind of son-of-a-bitch are you?!" Right there in front of my mom. Ouch.

(13,447 posts)I thought I had gotten away from them when I went into another room with the Bday girl and her other friends. Then they came over a half hour later and started cuddling. I beat a hasty exit without saying a word to them.

(36,827 posts)At least now you know it's really over. Some people don't figure this out for years, if ever. Albeit painfully, you now have closure which can be a very positive thing. If you don't mind mixed idioms, there's no use crying over fish in the ocean.

(13,447 posts)I only wish I hadn't already paid the $25 to run in a 5k with her next week. so now I gotta decide whether to suck it up and run anyway or eat the $25.

(27,247 posts)is ruined by something like that. I also left the play after that episode in the lobby as well, and my poor mom was hurt and shocked.

(13,447 posts)I'm pretty sure that before tonight, the new guy didn't know that I had dated her, so it's hard to fault him. However, she obviously knew the situation and did nothing to stop it. Any remaining respect I had for her dropped significantly.

(11,065 posts)Why the hell should she? She's done with you and has moved on. If that's a problem for you, guess what? It's YOUR problem. Neither she nor her new guy should be expected to alter there life or where they go and what they do because it bothers you to see her with someone else. Why in the world are you blaming her for your own problem??? Holy cow, you really expect her to still be catering to your emotional desires when she's with someone else now???
