Space Camp (1986) My opinion

Full of characters that make Flat Stanley look three dimensional, a plot about a little less believable than the Kroft series Far Out Space Nuts, and an annoying cutesey robot friend character. Almost MST3K-Worthy. And also probably a bit bad taste at the time of its release considering the events of that year.

But yes, after the Challenger disaster perhaps it should have been shelved for a little while.

I had no idea that Joaquin Pheonix was a kid in this.

during my teen years I could watch Space Camp and Howard the Duck on a continuous loop and be happy. It really was a terrible movie, and insane of the studio to release it when it did.
