http://www.jsonline.com/multimedia/photos/169704906.htmlMy apologies for linking to the article. Photobucket isn't playing nice tonight.
Photobucket finally let me upload the image.
In a photo provided by Guinness World Records 2013 Book, Zeus drinks from the kitchen faucet in Otsego, Mich. The Great Dane is now officially the worlds tallest canine according to the record book. The 3-year-old measures 44 inches from foot to shoulder. Standing on his hind legs, Zeus measures 7-foot-4.

Yeah, my main dogs have been cocker spaniels and then later smaller-than-mid-size, and now down to the large rat size (on the right, below). I love dogs, too, but anything higher than knee high and not known to me put me on watch.

(16,862 posts)I'm not sure how I'd feel if that one came walking up to me. Though he's probably gentle as a pup.

(1,957 posts)He's the kind of dog that could visit those in nursing homes or hospitals and could look you straight in the eye! I have been in a rehab/nursing home and they allowed doggie visits. The larger dogs seemed more at ease around those wheel chairs and sudden noises. They also knew which rooms had Milk Bones waiting for them on their weekly visits!

(6,011 posts)A Norwegian Elkhound they called "Rezzie" was the mascot and pet, and visited all of the residents. After a while she had to go on a diet because everyone saved something to give Rezzie when she'd make her rounds to say hello, get a pat, and find out what the treat of the day (x 60) was!
