Kathy Bates Battling Breast Cancer, Underwent Double Mastectomy

Kathy Bates was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, the actress has revealed.

“After much consideration, I underwent a double mastectomy,” the Oscar winner tells People.

She continues, “Luckily, I don’t have to undergo radiation or chemo. My family call me Kat because I always land on my feet and thankfully this is no exception.”

Bates already survived a battle with ovarian cancer nearly a decade ago.

She is a major talent.

Cancer sucks. My wife had it. Her brother had it (at least she survived). Both my parents had it. ALL of their siblings had it. With me, it's not "if," but "when."
I'm in no hurry.
