I missed the convention tonight and instead watched Steve Vai in concert

About a month ago someone who I volunteer with suggested I sign up to volunteer for the local concert venue here in Wilmington. It's a very lovely place that hosts a variety of shows including Rock, Jazz, Classical and everything in between. The place does well because all of the ushers that work the show are volunteers.

We are divided into 4 squads and luck had it my squad was scheduled for tonights Steve Vai concert. Vai is this guitar virtuoso who started out with Frank Zappa.

I thought of finding a replacement but figured I can catch Clinton's speech tomorrow on C-Span repeats (I heard he rocked).

Steve Vai was pretty darn amazing. Didn't really know his music but was really impressed. He actually brought this girl up on stage and she helped them to write a song right there on spot where his guitar playing was based on her saying 'I'm from Delaware'. So cool.

Anyhow, how was Clinton tonight?

I just watched the roll call vote on CSpan but missed Delaware - so I want to see that too!

3. Vai is a Guitar God!

Him and Satriani pretty much blows out most of the competition.
I would have probably gone to that concert just to see his performance.
Blasphemy some might say, but I can always watch the taped convention afterwards.

Although Bill Clinton did make the whole thing worth it.
