Photobucket is giving special maintenance to my/personal/specific account? Ever hear of this?

I'm a very infrequent user. So today the site had an opening page for a "New" Photobucket being offered for sign-up. I skipped to the Login and got an error message "This account is under (or in) maintenance." The specificity of the reference to MY account was a bit odd or unsettling. I don't know whether everybody is supposed to sign-up for the New version or how long the maintenance is or why my personal account is so special.

The Help or Blog sections don't address this. Their e-addy is support@photobucket.com

Here's my query, will update any reply:

I’ve never gotten this error message “This account is in/under maintenance” before. Does it have something to do with the “New” Photobucket? Do I need to sign up for that or stay as I am in the basic (not “Pro”) version?

I’m feeling a bit odd that the reference is so specific to MY account, especially since I am a very infrequent user. How long with this maintenance to my account be? Thanks.

Now I’m getting “Too many failed logins try back later.”

Hello Photobucket users,

We experienced a problem on Sunday September 2nd that caused servers to go down. This is affecting some of you in different ways, and we just wanted to make sure you knew that our engineers are looking into it, and doing their best to get everything back to normal as quick as they can.

Issues affecting users:
•Unable to login
•Images missing from the account, or websites they are linked out to
•503 error on Photobucket, not allowing you to access your account or a page within your account (upload, edit, download)
•Pixlr editor not loading properly
•Gray pages or boxes on your account or the Photobucket website

You may experience any of these issues when accessing your account or the site. I assure you that your content is safe, and everything will be back to normal soon.

Our engineers have been hard at work on this over the past two days. A disk drive needs to be rebuilt, and that may take a bit of time to complete.

I will post another message when more information is available on when this might be resolved.

Thank you!
