I saw an interesting vending machine the other day ...
I thought it was a cold soft drink machine (or "coke machine", as we call them down South) at first. Same size and shape, big push buttons down the side giving a limited number of options. But the labels on the push buttons showed it dispensed various types of candy and other snacks. It was standing outside, where any non-refrigerated candy would have quickly melted or otherwise spoiled.
The last time I saw a "repurposed" machine like this, it was dispensing ... live bait (along the Erie Canal).
