We have these bugs that hang around on our building.
They are beetles, the long thin ones.
They are mostly dark brown in color, but have a red "v" shaped stripe on them.
The dogs and cats here leave them alone, they must have a bad smell.
They don't bite or sting, but they just are a pain in the butt hanging all over our building.
BTW, I live in Sheboygan, WI.

(6,581 posts)Box elder bug -- harmless unless you're a box elder tree, but they can be a major annoyance because they can occur in the thousands and thousands and also look for warm places to spend the winter, like your house.

Can't come soon enough for me. Every couple of winters we get invaded.

(85 posts)Who was in charge of counting the planets that day? I think it wouldn't be too hard to realize that they were missing and entire planet in that system. I would put a red security detail shirt on that dude and send him down on the next away mission.
