2. Once upon a time, many many years ago (About 1972)

Some Navy buddies and I were stagge, err, I mean, crisply walking back to the dock to catch the skiff back to the ship. We decided to all get tattoos, I mean, our minds were clear, right?

Well, we went into a tattoo shop. I was looking at the wall trying to decide what I wanted. I picked it out and thought it would be way cool.

I turned around and a Marine was getting a tattoo. Blood was dripping. I sobered up in an instant. Didn't get one but my 2 buddies did. They regret it shortly thereafter.
