The Detroit Metro Throws a Big Car Party This Weekend. Everyone's Invited!!!
The 2012 Woodward Dream Cruise, the world's largest party devoted to celebrating the style, culture, past and present of the automobile, is Saturday August 18.
Last year, almost 2 million people lined Woodward Avenue from its origin on the shores of the Detroit River in downtown Detroit to its terminus 30 some miles away in downtown Pontiac, to watch something like 75,000 classic cars parade up and down the Avenue.
It's quite a party. Everyone is welcome.
