contacts and setting up new account.

(28,394 posts)I think it was from leaving it "logged in" before I closed it. It was a pain, especially since it sent outrageous emails requesting money to people on my contact list.
And now I get lots of junk mail of a sexual nature that I never got before. I agree:

(441 posts)I could not fix the account - Microsoft closed it down.
I am glad I had another account to use, but the hotmail account was useful for business uses, and reduced the amount of spam I got in my regular email account.
I'd had the hotmail account for so long that I could not remember which password I'd used to set it up.
My cat was sitting on my arms while I was trying to fix the problem by answering the security questions. That did not work out to well. I made a typo because of her sitting on me like that, and hotmail shut me out of the account.
I could not fix it, so I let it go.
It was a hassle, setting up my other account to connect with all my contacts.
A pox on nasty random hackers.
