KITTY MYSTERY: I found a single drop of blood in their room after they were

locked in for a while. (I needed to cool the house and they wouldn't stay away from the big air circulator fan.) It was about the size of the end of a pencil eraser, maybe a bit larger. It was between the water dish and the litter box, about 4 inches from one and 8 inches from the other.

I checked my busy little kitties as best I could for any signs of injury. Looked in the litter box. Didn't see anything obvious. Should I be worried??

On a similar note, we took in a deformed cotton-tail rabbit kit six years ago. He had no fear of anything. We knew he was male because he ejaculated a few times while being petted. One day, my wife went into the bathroom and there was blood EVERYWHERE in and around his den. I put a towel on the bed and took him out to check for injuries. There were none. But I did find a vagina to the right of his penis (normally they are stacked vertically in hermaphrodites, not horizontally). I took him to the vet and he found a SECOND vagina on the other side. No shit. We still call him "he" because that's what we started with, but there's a reason his mother tried to kill him (infected bite wound). It brings a whole new meaning to "go fuck yourself", but he doesn't seem to have balls and hasn't impregnated himself in six years so we're no longer concerned about that.

You do NOT want to be in the vicinity of a bunny temper tantrum. "That's no ORDINARY rrrrrAbbitt."

When I was suicidal, I went in to a counselor and one of the things I said was (holding out right arm), "amateur", and (holding out left arm), "professional". Her eyes looked like saucers. Then I said, "we own a rabbit." He used to scratch the HELL out of us. Now he just cuddles into my beard and purrs, and yes, bunnies purr.

Also, did you know kittehs do the butt wipe thing for other reasons? Like their anal glands need to be expressed, or they ate tinsel off the Xmas tree? (I shouldn't laugh because it coulda killed him, but Pretzel ate the tinsel. And I had to retrieve it. *blech*)

Since he was rescued from a dumpster (yeah, I know) the vet said he had worms and needed medication to get rid of them. They weren't tapeworms, just baby kitty worms.

to wrap them in a towel, butter the pill (actually I pre-buttered, because seconds count!) and pop it down their throats. And if they spit it out, I would try again. (Honestly, the bites were nothing compared to a _real_ bite I got from my Tom years ago when he attacked me.)

I can never get mine "tight" enough - the cat always manages to get a paw (claw!) free and then I have the double whammy of kitty bite AND scratches.

I just checked and found that the references for these classics are missing there. I lost the bookmarks when I moved over to DU3 but in short the Olive Garden restaurant was in reference to a person inquiring about a great restaurant to eat at in New York City when they went to visit. The fall-out when someone suggested the chain restaurant Olive Garden in Times Square was ferocious!

The kudzu thread just took on a life of its own ("its going places!&quot . Very large. Same as the "thread that never dies" - it was absolutely enormous. The debate over crumbled cornflakes v breadcrumbs as a casserole "topper" (can you see where this is going?) comes up every so often with the devotees of each making their case for THEIR fave, with often hilarious results.
