I really, really, really hate clunky black shoes. Seems so many of the vegan shoes are just (IMO) ugly and heavy. Or all plastic, so it feels as if your foot has been wrapped in saran wrap all day.
I'd like a few decent pairs of heels or flats for work. Seems Natalie Portman's foray into vegan shoes didn't pan out or last more than a season, and Stella McCartney just pisses me off with her $700+ shoes. What a jerk. "Oh, only rich people can be both stylish and conscientious". Bite me, Stella.
Any suggestions?

(20,176 posts)www.mooshoes.com <<This is where I buy all my shoes, they're pricey but the quality is great and the shoes are fashionable. I do have a reputation as a fashion-plate to uphold. I really kind of like these but they don't come in a men's size-13. (http://www.mooshoes.com/index.php?product=Ally+Shoe&c=5&color=Red)
www.veganstore.com <<Pangea Vegan Store is like the online vegan mall; they sell everything vegan you can imagine. Not just shoes but also food, vitamins, clothes, cleaning supplies, hygiene products. About the only thing they don't sell is wine and beer...and if you make a trip to their brick and mortar store which is in Rockville, MD...they sell those too.
While not a vegan shoe store, Zappos.com has an extensive vegan shoe section.
If you prefer an actual store, Payless is pretty much everywhere and sells a lot of vegan shies, though the quality is sometimes plastic.

(13,661 posts)I'd forgotten about Zappos.
I'll check the veganstore site, too - sounds like a good site! Mooshoes had a few cute sandals ...
Thank you for your suggestions! Matt&Nat has some nice handbags, but no shoes - shoes always seem to be the hardest part.

(4,033 posts)It reads that they have 400 vegan shoes.
They give a definition of what constitutes vegan & they're on the mark with that.

(13,661 posts)Loved them.
But - I need some decent-looking pumps for work - actually, I'd like some stylish pumps, not just another pair of black shoes of indeterminate shape.
I don't know much.
I tend to just buy a few pairs that are very good in quality that they last me years!

(1 post)Hi flaxbee,
I would also struggle to find cute and affordable vegan shoes, so I decided to start a blog specifically dedicated to finding them! You can check it out at www.thegoodfashionista.com
Hope that makes life easier for you!
