FWIW, I think its hilariously ironic that a discussion board has worked in the ability to put anyone on "ignore". Just go with it and don't let it get you down. The lounge usually has a little mini-competition as to who has the most "ignores" every week. Usually the winner is....

The ignored poster's post just vanish. It's as though they'd never been written in the first place.

I think the only way the ignorer can tell that someone s/he is ignoring is in his/her thread is when the number of posts doesn't match how many posts are visible.

You don't even see the word "ignored" any more, the way we used to on DU2.

No idea who. But that seems low. I can be very tough in asking for evidence and backup for unsupported conclusions when I go "out there" beyond the Lounge. People don't always like to be called to account for their opinions, and sometimes it just doubles their zeal rather than getting me any data to work with. If your truly concerned about ignores, consider what percentage of the total membership 5 people are, then consider the even smaller percentage of people that would come to DU in the first place...then go buy a lotto ticket!
