Prepare to go to heaven... by eating one of these babies, you will be in heaven. It's been a while since I posted a dessert post, so today I decided to make a post on not just how to make a chocolate chip cookie, but how to make an oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookie! YEAH! ^~^
These babies are perfect to make if you have the ingredients, time, and steps, so let's get started!
For the ingredients, you will need:
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 package Double Stuff Oreo cookies
Now, for the steps:
1) First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2) Then, using a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. (You can use a mixer or a whisk, wooden spoon, or anything else you prefer.)
3) Next, beat in the eggs and vanilla.
4) Afterwards, using a medium-sized bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and the baking soda. Slowly add the wet ingredients (the combined butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla) with chocolate chips until everything is well combined.
5) Then, using a ice-cream scoop, form balls with the dough.
6) Next, get one ball and put it on top of the oreo, then get another ball and put it on the bottom of the oreo.
7) Afterwards, seal the edges together by pressing the chocolate chip dough into the edges and covering the oreo until you can't see it anymore and it is fully closed.
8) Then, place some parchment or silpat lined baking sheets and bake the cookies for about 13 minutes or until the cookies turn golden brown.
9) Lastly, just let the cookies cool for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack and ENJOY!
