The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsSuddenly, I have shin bones and slender fingers.
Did you know that your shin bones are sharp? I didn't. I thought all long bones were round.
My ring isn't loose, but I'm not really anxious for that to happen. I don't want it to fall off. But my fingers are slender. That's never happened before.
Amazing what losing 28 pounds will do.

(58,670 posts)Not sure if I should follow with a "keep up the good work" or not. Don't know your goal. But taking off excess weight is always a great idea.
I recently (actually over about 10 years) shaved off 40 pounds or so. Very glad I did.

Good for you for your own weight loss!

(58,670 posts)I find that it was a life style change, not a "diet" for me. I don't even use that term. To me "diet" just means what I eat.
Glad to see it's working!

Keep up the good work, but watch out for end tables. You'll find out that without padding those shins bark easily.
Bertha Venation
(21,484 posts)I will keep it up, and I've already lost some "bark."
(PS I don't get the joke . . . )

Very cool.
I'm just starting on my way back down again, too, and very much looking forward to being able to twirl the ring on the finger. It's a great feeling. Congratulations!

I'm sorry you're uncomfortable.

(2,015 posts)You could bring one of those gel seat covers to the gym. I usually stick to the bikes or elipticals at the Y because I have a bad knee.
