My semi-random thoughts for the evening...

We live in a world where we do not take into consideration the ramifications of our actions. We seem to live in a self-imposed bubble, ignoring the fact that others might benefit from things we are doing, just as we might benefit from them. We believe we see the big picture, but it's more like we are looking at a huge jigsaw puzzle and not really noticing all the small pieces that are missing, but thinking the puzzle is complete anyway.

We say things that are construed as offers, but when push comes to shove we backpedal or, worse, attempt to ignore it when the time comes to fulfill those obligations we've made. Then we freak out when others are wondering what's going on.

We expect others to inherently know how to do something, without actually taking the time to explain it. Just because YOU know does not mean that we share your knowledge. It's worse when you are in a position of authority and then act as though you aren't responsible for the fact that those who work for you are uncertain of what it is you want.

And those are my semi-random thoughts for this evening.
