episode of a PBS series many years ago at the San Diego. They had a baby gorilla that was being cared for by zookeepers and they brought her our for Whoopi to sit with. She wasn't allowed to touch the baby, but the baby kept reaching out for her and grabbing her dreadlocks. At one point she quietly told the baby, "I know people who look just like you!" Whenever I see apes of any kind, I think the same thing -- I see totally "us" in "them". To see them and not think we are related is just crazy, IMO.
